Well, please keep your dog away from this fine piece of art!  Yes, it does sport a dog dish for it's resonator!  Yes, it has a piezo pickup in the bridge!  Yes, it also has a humbucker pickup wound by me in the neck position and a 3 way selector switch so you can chose which pickup or both that you want as well as a volume control for each pickup.  Yes, it was a difficult build to get right as that dog dish is deep and so the neck has to be many pieces of wood glued and screwed together to hold the tension of the 4 strings.  It's got a great gritty sound!
